Effective 2026-10-15

The town is a place to rest when your social battery is low. A few things keep it safe and easy:

Go slow; respect their battery

Slow replies are fine. Don't rush, pry or demand an answer.

No harassment

No sexual content or innuendo, hate, threats, bullying or discrimination.

Keep personal details out

Don't ask for or share phone numbers, addresses, schools, workplaces or social accounts. Links, e-mails, @handles and phone numbers are masked automatically.

No selling, no scams

No ads, no pulling people to other platforms, no asking for money for any reason.

18+ only

If someone says they are under 18, end the chat and report it.

Leave when it doesn't feel right

You can say good night any time. Reporting ends the chat at once, you won't be paired again for 24 hours, and the conversation is kept for review.

If you need more support

Many places have an around-the-clock helpline — find yours at findahelpline.com; in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.

What happens if rules are broken

We may end chats or restrict pairing; where the law or someone's safety requires it, we may cooperate with the authorities.
